Embedded Software Engineer

Location:                 Stevenage

Salary:                     £40,000 to £65,000 (DOE)

The Embedded Software Engineer role:

In this position you’ll deliver and maintain software for one of their key products - The product is in a maintenance phase, so deliveries are incremental, and focused on product improvements (robustness and feature upgrades).

The software is developed using Ada and Rapsody and the role will involve architecting, designing, implementing and testing missile subsystem software. You’ll be a part of a small team and therefore have a large breadth of visibility across the product.

Embedded Software Engineer required:

A software engineer focussed on embedded software development for Real Time systems:

• With experience of developing embedded software using Ada or ‘C’ or C++
• Experience in model-based development, with UML or tools such as IBM’s Rhapsody
• You enjoy solving technical problems that can extend beyond the bounds of software.
• You have a focus on code quality and the ability to engage in code and design reviews.
• Development of maintainable and extensible code.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with Systems Engineering, Electronics and Electrical, and Test and Validation
