Our central government client is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a team that is responsible for building a new strategic hosting platform using Amazon Web Services. As a Senior DevOps Engineer (Platform) you will be leading a squad responsible for the design and implementation of one or more of the products which make up our platform. You will also be contributing to our ways of working and advocating solutions that are resilient, secure, scalable, and enable self-service. The platform is built using AWS Landing Zone Accelerator and is based on the Trusted Secure Enclaves - Sensitive Edition reference architecture (https://(url removed)/awssamples/landing-zone-accelerator-on-aws-for-tse-se). We are using GitHub Actions for pipeline automation.
Your main day to day will involve:
* Working with the senior leadership team to define, evolve and improve our product roadmaps. * Contributing to the team's continuous improvement and ways of working.
* Working with Security, Architecture, and other stakeholders to design and build end to end platform capability.
* Working as part of the platform team to build and elaborate the backlog and sprints.
* Scoping and participating in spikes and defining best practice.
* Leading the build effort, including runbooks, automation, observability, and selfservice.
* Guiding and mentoring other members of the squad.
Skills and Experience
* Designing solutions using AWS products and services.
* Knowledge of the Well-Architected framework.
* AWS Landing Zone Accelerator.
* Custom Amazon Machine Images.
* CloudFormation, Terraform and AWS Service Catalogue.
* GitHub Actions and Typescript.
