Full Time: 37.5 hours

We are recruiting an exciting position at the moment for a Digital Solutions Engineer.​

Activities of the team/department that this role will operate in;

The Digital Solutions Engineer will work alongside our existing digital solution resources to help in the development and support of various applications and platforms including SharePoint, both online and on-prem and Power Platform products and services within Microsoft 365.

Day-to-day activities will include:

  • Incident and problem management of Power Platform / SharePoint related issues.
  • Change management activities (including testing) from small scale amendments and service requests, to larger projects such as the automation of current manual paper-based processes across the business, to the redesign and delivery of company-wide Document Management Systems.
  • Proactive monitoring of Power Platform / SharePoint solutions and architecture - proactively address emerging issues.
  • Management of existing Power Platform apps and flows to ensure current ICT policy and best practice is being adhered to, taking timely action where necessary to ensure conformity within the Power Platform governance strategy where deviations arise.
  • Development of new Power Automate workflows and integration with external toolsets, including those provided by our global Microsoft 365 tenancy.
  • Liaison with colleagues internationally for service management purposes and on-going relationship management.
  • Redevelopment of ‘end of life’ forms and workflows and appropriate decommissioning.
  • Giving advice and guidance to existing users in the shaping of their requirements for Power Platform solutions.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and end user guidance for all Power Platform solutions –create and maintain user guides and associated service knowledge to enhance user experience and reduce service.
  • Carry out objectives as defined in annual appraisal.​

Purpose of the role and your responsibilities;

The role will be responsible for the support, maintenance and development of Power Platform entities, and as otherwise directed.

Formal qualifications required;

Accredited MS Power Platform / SharePoint Qualifications desired.

  • Microsoft SharePoint 16 & 19 (these 2 versions preferred), including architecture and administration as well as development

- Microsoft Windows Server OS and Active Directory / Entra ID 

- Web Services 

- Nintex Workflow 

- Sharegate 

- ITIL Awareness 

- Use of IT Service Management tools (i.e. "helpdesk" software for the management of changes, incidents etc.) ​

Experience required;

  • Experience working in a Power Platform support and/or development capacity
  • Experience supporting and/or developing in SharePoint Online
  • Experience working in structured, managed ICT service environments​
