SCOM Developer required for a global IT business, You will be responsible for collaborating with Windows, DBA and Linux systems engineers, application technical support analysts and developers, both internal and in the customer/development teams, to determine requirements for filters, events, alerts, and dashboards and reporting in various monitoring tools. .A good understanding of event correlation and the ability to query data warehouse through SSRS to provide reports to assist in determining root cause.
- Visual Studio Development to author Management Packs.
- Maintaining the SCOM Monitoring source code in version control systems such as GitLab or GitHub
- Writing TSQL to extract and manipulate data from the SCOM Database
- Developing reports with Visual Studio (creation of .rdl files) and storing these in source code \ version control.
- PowerShell development to support Management Pack creation and automate SCOM tasks.
- Develop Automation processes using System Center Orchestrator integrating the runbooks into GitLab or GitHub (or similar).
