As a result of continued expansion plans and ongoing success we are searching for an enthusiastic and adaptable Software Tester / QA Tester / QA Engineer to join our client's dynamic team, working in a fast-paced digital environment.

The role is offered on a hybrid-working basis, once up-to-speed, you will be able to work from home at least 3-days per week.

The client's office is based in Plymouth, Devon - you will need to be live within a commutable distance of their office to be considered for the role or you will be in a position to relocate to Plymouth or nearby relatively quickly from other parts of the UK.

In this role you will be responsible for the following: -

  • Designing, developing and executing automated test scripts to ensure the functionality and usability of a number of complex digital platforms.
  • Collaborating with Software Developers to identify and resolve defects.
  • Writing and maintaining comprehensive test plans based on user stories and requirement documents.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest testing tools and technologies.

To be considered for the vacancy and to be a success in the role you require experience in the following areas: -

  • You MUST have experience of C# coding!
  • Experience with other programming languages such as PHP, HTML, JavaScript and CSS is a distinct bonus but is NOT essential.
  • Familiarity with Linux environments.
  • Basic understanding of SQL queries and Git is also a bonus.

We are looking to speak with candidates who have a good understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) with a main focus on testing methodologies.

Candidates will need to demonstrate experience in a mixture of the following to be considered for interview: -

  • Experience writing and executing automated test scripts using Selenium and/or SpecFlow.
  • Proficient in writing clear and concise test plans based on requirements documents.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers, product owners and other stake holders.

The role is offered on a permanent and full-time basis - it is a hybrid role with some home-based working and some office-based working. The core work hours are Monday to Friday, 08:45am - 17:30pm.
