Embedded Software Application Engineer

Leading edge technology solutions company with a range of hardware and software products for the high-performance computing sector are looking for an embedded software application engineer to join a highly technical team working closely with clients projects.  The team work closely with clients within cutting edge technology areas such as AI, Robotics, Medical research, and Edge computing to understand their needs and integrate technical developments required to assist in their success.  You will support evaluations of the organisations technology and assist with prototyping.  You will evaluate new solutions and algorithms including neural network architecture optimising code to maximise efficiency.  The role requires someone with a strong academic background coupled with extensive experience in embedded application development and optimisation.  You will have a deep knowledge of Linux environments with a strong knowledge of multicore solutions paradigms (Pthread or OpenCL / Cuda) ideally with knowledge of computer vision libraries (OpenCV, OpenVX) and machine learning technology (TensorFlow, Caffe).  The role requires interaction with clients and strong communication skills.  The role has a hybrid work style, and they need someone within the Grenoble area with the ability to be in the office at least 2 days a week.  You will need English language experience and ideally some French language.  They require someone with the right to work in the EU / France without the need for sponsorship.  They offer a cutting-edge technology environment working on exciting and challenging solutions with clients across the world.  It is a modern and progressive working environment with excellent career development opportunities and a strong benefits package.
