Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Linux DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Software team to design, implement, test, monitor, and maintain a Linux development pipeline that facilitates the efficient delivery of our embedded Linux-based products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Linux for both servers and embedded systems, along with experience in automating software development workflows.

*Please note - Candidates must be eligible for SC Clearance (5+ years residency in the UK)*

Responsibilities:

  • DevOps Design, Management, and Maintenance:
    • Collaborate with technical leaders to design new Linux DevOps pipelines supporting a range of embedded products.
    • Design pipelines for stability, ease of management, and adaptability to change as part of an R&D team.
  • Automation:
    • Develop pipelines and processes with automation at the core to accelerate product delivery.
    • Provide useful insights to engineering teams through automatic processes for continuous monitoring and improvement.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with software teams and act as a bridge to the wider IT department.
    • Proactively gather requirements and share designs and results with a range of engineering skillsets.

Requirements:

  • Strong and demonstrable understanding of Linux for both servers and embedded systems.
  • Experience in automating software development workflows.
  • Proficiency in integrating and communicating with Windows-based systems is desirable.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
