Remote/Hybrid/Office based: Hybrid after 2 months - 3 days working from home


Role Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced Bespoke Developer with experience in financial services sector to work with departments across the firm to solve functionality gaps within current third-party applications.  

What you will be doing:

As a Bespoke Developer, you will be designing and developing solutions to streamline processes across the business, working with other departments to define requirements to improve their processes. This is not a client-facing role, your main communications will be with IT colleagues, third-party providers, and team members from across the firm.  You will be responsible for supporting users of in house developed applications and investigating and resolving issues when they occur.

What experience you'll have:

• Educated to degree level in a Computer Science related subject
• Experience working in the Financial Services Sector
• Proven experience of modern programming languages and frameworks  E.g. C#, SQL, JavaScript/TypeScript
• Awareness of modern software development methodologies  E.g. Scrum, Agile
• Confident communicator with department managers and third-party suppliers
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to set-up and operate a development methodology with supporting templates and tools

You'll have an understanding of:

• Proactively having a keen eye for process improvement
• Continuous researching of emerging and new technologies which could make improvements to company operations
• Keen to progress career in Financial Services software development
