Job Title: Head of QA

Location: Woking (Hybrid: 3 days remote, 2 days in-office)

Salary: £80,000 per annum

The Head of QA will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of our client's software solutions. Working closely with the SLT and MLT, as well as developers and project management, you will use SAFE agile methodology and industry-standard processes to guarantee our client's products meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Taking full ownership and accountability for the software quality of internally developed solutions.
• Establishing and driving a robust framework for QA test signoff for releases.
• Continuing to refine and evolve QA test processes, procedures, tools, and techniques.
• Maintaining and enhancing QA teams' metrics and measures.
• Expanding non-functional testing capabilities and processes across products.
• Directing the long-term vision and execution of automation capabilities and regression targets.
• Conducting regular team management sessions and formal performance reviews.
• Nurturing and guiding the professional growth of QA team members.
• Cultivating a culture of quality and accountability within the organization.
• Coordinating with project stakeholders to fulfill testing requirements effectively.
• Reviewing processes, bugs & defects, and live issues to optimize test processes.
• Ensuring accurate QA estimates for agile delivery projects and enhancements.
• Keeping QA teams' tools and techniques current and aligned with industry best practices.
• Advocating the QA test strategy and its policies and procedures within the organization.
• Developing, updating, and communicating plans for non-BAU QA test team activities.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Degree or equivalent qualification.
• 7+ years in application testing.
• 3+ years in team management.
• Preferably in Fintech or payments.
• Senior Test Management experience.
• Strong teamwork and communication.
• Problem-solving and planning skills.
• Proficiency in testing tools and methodologies.
• Technical expertise in various platforms.
• Awareness of security vulnerabilities.
• Technical testing experience with Windows & Linux Server platforms and Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency in Atlassian tools such as JIRA and XRAY.
• Practical and technical experience in IDEs and test automation, e.g., C#.
