We are looking to recruit a Platform Engineering Manager for a global software company. This will be working as part of my client's brand new Platform Engineering Team and is an exciting time to be joining the company as they embark on a journey of transformation that the Platform Team will be essential to.

You will lead a team of 4 - 5 Platform Engineers to deliver systems that are performant, reliable, secure and scalable. The exciting project will be building a global internal developer platform that will be used by 1000 + Developers globally. Any previous experience of implementing Developer platforms is highly desirable.

This is a fully remote role with minimal travel required.

Desired Experience:

  • Team Management: Proven experience managing one or more platform teams in a fast-paced environment, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to work with stakeholders to set and manage priorities, aligning team efforts with organisational objectives.
  • Agile Expertise: Proficiency in Agile methodologies, driving iterative development and continuous improvement.
  • DevOps Knowledge: Familiarity with DevOps concepts and practices, promoting collaboration between development and operations teams.
  • Cloud Platform Management: Experience in designing, building, and maintaining cloud platforms, leveraging the latest technologies and best practices.

Bonus Points for:

  • Internal Developer Platform Implementation: Experience implementing an internal developer platform, empowering teams to innovate and iterate rapidly.
  • Software Development Background: Previous experience in software development or managing software development teams, understanding the intricacies of the development lifecycle.
