Our Northamptonshire based client is looking to recruit an IT Support Engineer due to the success of the company.

As an  IT Support Engineer you will work within the IT Support team to assist with the provision, support and maintenance of the IT services and equipment used by our clients customers in the UK.

The role requires a combination of hardware and software skills and an ability to work with all types of people on a professional basis.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm with weekends and evening for major project work as required.

Duties:

•           Provide good support to customers on a day-to-day basis on all their desktop/laptop and network connectivity issues in a timely manner through a ticket system and remote software.

•           Administration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Windows 10, Office 365, Windows Server (2012/16/19) and Active Directory.

•           Configuration and deployment of workstations, laptops, desk phones, and other IT equipment.

•           Have good knowledge of networks, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, including LAN, WAN and wireless network setup

•           Support for mobile devices (iOS and Android).

•           Completing documentation for the 1st line IT Support team, and guides for end-users.

•           Maintaining IT SaaS infrastructure and security systems

•           Be able to support 1st line engineers when they need to escalate a request or incident;

•           Provide training and assistance for the 1st line team to progress their skill sets.

•           To allocate more complex service issues to the 3rd line IT Infrastructure Engineers.

•           Support incidents requiring work outside the usual hours when needed.

•           Maintain the company IT Asset inventory and for select customers.

•           Deliver and set up equipment to customer sites as required

•           Travel to customer sites, diagnose and fix problems

•           Travel to customer sites for equipment and infrastructure installations

About You

Essential:

•           Good experience in an IT/Desktop support role minimum 3 years.

•           Good knowledge and experience of managing Office 365 (applications and platform).

•           Network and routing configuration and troubleshooting (Draytek)

•           Experience supporting Apple products.

•           Experience of writing technical documents and user guides.

•           Experience of working as part of a team.

•           Ability to work under pressure.

•           Ability to work independently when required and have problem-solving skills.

•           Ability to communicate with users via telephone, email and face to face.

•           Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•           Good time management.

•           Positive attitude.

•           Hold a valid full UK driving licence and have your own transport
