As a regional leader in Digital-out-of-Home (DooH) advertising in the Middle East, Our Client has recently expanded to London as part of its global growth initiative. With over 1800 digital screens in 550 premium locations across the UAE, Our Client aims to achieve similar network scale in the UK over the next three years. As the company’s business continues to grow, Our Client is seeking an IT or A/V professional to help the company achieve its goals.

Position Summary:

As Site Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in managing the set-up, installation, and ongoing maintenance of our digital signage network - ensuring seamless delivery of digital advertising content. The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience in either IT administration or A/V networking. Practical knowledge and strong troubleshooting skills are a must.

Our Clients London network is comprised of dozens of remotely managed LANs and hundreds of individual Windows-based media players. The role requires someone who can work independently across various locations, while also collaborating with our Dubai-based IT department as well as third-party contractors.

The Site Operations Manager will also work closely with the Managing Director to grow and lead an in-house operations team. Preliminary tasks will include the recruitment and onboarding of additional Operations team members, and the establishment of a local workshop. The ability to work autonomously while also leading a team and managing schedules will be essential to success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform site surveys of residential buildings across Greater London.
  • Deliver detailed project plans and the corresponding RAMS documentation.
  • Manage the set-up, configuration, installation, and maintenance of network devices and systems - including routers, switches, media players and LCD displays.
  • Monitor network performance, identify and troubleshoot network issues, and implement solutions to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Perform regular network maintenance, software updates, and backups to ensure data integrity and system reliability in collaboration with the Dubai-based IT team.
  • Document network configurations, changes, and procedures to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and security protocols to protect network and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with and manage third-party specialists to ensure joint project delivery.

Skills and Technical Competencies:

  • Site Experience: Experience working on-site and managing digital screen installations or IT network installations.
  • Site Surveys & RAMS: Experience of undertaking and creating detailed site surveys and producing RAMS relevant to each survey is required.
  • Network Fundamentals: Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, and routing protocols.
  • Hardware Proficiency: Experience with network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve network issues efficiently.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and clients effectively.
  • Electrical knowledge: a basic understanding of electrical works is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related A/V certifications.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA, AVIXA CTS) are preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in IT network administration, A/V networking or a similar role.
  • Previous experience in the DOOH industry or with digital signage systems is a plus.
