Based in Edinburgh or Glasgow Hybrid (2 Days in Office)

Looking for a role where you have a chance to collaborate with management to determine what tools and technology are best to be used for processing data? We are working with a large law firm based in Glasgow and they are looking for someone to help shape their Data infrastructure with the potential to build a team around this position. Responsibilities:
- Data Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Data Modelling: Design and maintain data models for advanced analytics and insights.
- Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies and compliance procedures.
- Data Integration: Oversee data integration processes and facilitate algorithm integration into legal workflows.
- Collaboration: Work closely with legal professionals and IT teams to understand data requirements and provide technical expertise.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize data architecture for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Innovation: Research and evaluate emerging technologies to address legal data challenges.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in the legal or professional services industry.
- Proficiency in database management systems, data modelling, and ETL processes.
- Ideally experience with Azure Data Infrastructure.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on implementation.
