Software Test Lead

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Engineer to join a fast-paced delivery team and be responsible for building highly configurable and automated solutions for some of the UKs largest financial services companies. Testing will comprise of Software, Desktop Applications and Web API's.

The successful candidate must have experience running day-to-day operations of a testing team and have delivered testing strategies ideally within the Financial Services market.

Outline of day-to-day Duties Include: -

• Developing the team's test strategy
• Day to Day management and monitoring of the test process
• Manual and automation testing of desktop applications and web-based applications services.
• Participation in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design and potential problems.
• Recognising test automation opportunities
• Driving test cases from specifications, requirements, and user stories
• Logging, tracking, and managing defects / bugs through bug tracking tools.
• Writing test approach, plans and reports
• Regular communication with development teams and management

Skills: -

• Experience in testing both web and desktop applications.
• Practical experience of setting up test automation frameworks using Cypress.io, Selenium, and similar test frameworks
• Practical experience of API testing and automation, including a working knowledge of API testing tools like Postman, Swagger or similar
• Working knowledge and experience of JIRA
• Effective leadership and management skills
• Excellent communicator
• Analytic thinking/quick learner with a good attention to detail and able to problem solve effectively.
