IT Field Engineer (Team Leader)

Location: Hampshire based with weekly visits to our Ringwood based office
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000, DOE + Benefits + Company Profit share
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

IT Field Engineer (Team Leader) - The role:

The Field Engineer Team Leader is required to have a wide range or knowledge, experience and skill to be able to tackle the various demands of the role, they are the 1st technical escalation point for hardware issues but are also required to deal with very technical software issues if previous teams have been unable to resolve them.

The role requires strong communication skills due to working in customer premises, building good relationships with customers is key.

The candidate will be required to travel to customers in Hampshire. Mileage will be paid at approved Mileage rates set by GOV UK

In this role you will be managing a team of engineers and being a point of technical escalation for hardware issues but also be required to deal with complex software issues.

  • Supporting internal teams and knowledge sharing
  • Reacting quickly to escalations and communications from Service team
  • Managing your daily assigned workload effectively and efficiently
  • Resolving or progressing incidents
  • Maintain service delivery against Key Performance Indicators.
  • Aiming to meet team and individual objectives.
  • Supporting 1st line, 2nd line, and other engineers with knowledge sharing.

IT Field Engineer (Team Leader) - The Skills you will need:

To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong knowledge of IT troubleshooting and problem solving as well as knowledge of IT hardware and infrastructure.

  • Accountability and responsibility for your workload
  • Helpful and approachable attitude
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • At least 12 months experience managing people, to include day to day management E.G holiday requests and absences as well as performance reviews and leading and motivating a team.

For this role you will need a Full UK driving license and this role is subject to a clear standard DBS check being received.
