£40,000/annum uncapped commission & car allowance

We are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join our ambitious leadership team. We are looking for a passionate and tenacious individual with Business Development / Sales experience within the manufacturing sector this a full-time permanent position

You must be eligible to live and work in the UK and be willing to travel

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Pro-actively approaching business owners and decision makers through various channels.
  • Developing new business relationships with potential clients and maintain high level contacts with current customers and project partners.
  • Contributing to and implementing business development strategies in line with key business goals.
  • Self-generating new leads, appointments, and referrals through day-to-day new business activity.
  • Delivering presentations to prospective clients on behalf of the Company.
  • Preparing monthly business development progress reports for the Board. Building, managing, and maintaining sales pipelines.
  • Working with our leadership team to ensure all marketing material is representative of business goals and values. Collating and sharing marketing intelligence.
  • Involvement during tender process from receipt of ITT to delivery and presentation of proposal to clients.
  • Adhering to call compliance and FCA guidelines.
  • Achieving sales targets and KPIs

Skills and Experience:

  • Understand customers’ challenges and perspectives, building credibility and strong business insight, tailoring the value proposition to fit customers’ needs.
  • Have strong experience in a sales environment, ideally within manufacturing and / or software sectors with a proven track record for achieving sales targets, through all angles (Utilising existing client and prospect databases, generating fresh leads through Networking Events and other avenues).
  • Be experienced working in a B2B role, successfully developing, iterating, and navigating large scale contracts and agreements with corporate clients. Be a self-starter who can work both independently and part of a team to develop new areas in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Have a proactive and self-motivated attitude towards sales targets, helping to build a culture that promotes the company as a modern technology business.
  • Hold an entrepreneurial mindset, with the tenacity to develop ideas independently. Bring knowledge of cloud-based platforms.

Requirements:

  • Experience of selling technology solutions to the manufacturing sector (SaaS/Cloud preferable)
  • Strong commercial and technical background
  • ERP / MRP experience (Desirable)
  • Aerospace, Defence, Automotive, Rail and/or Renewables sector knowledge (Desirable) Understanding of Supply Chains
  • Experience of working with manufacturing OEMs / Tier 1s would be advantageous, as would having some first-hand Supply Chain Management experience.

This role offers a very competitive basic salary as well as an uncapped commission with first year earnings expected to be in the region of £70,000 per annum
