A leading international entertainment distributor situated in Bordon are expanding their team and seeking an expert IT Technician, on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking up calls for other team members if they are unavailable
- Communicating with staff members to find and fix problems
- To escalate more complex Service Desk requests to the relevant IT Support member
- Monitoring the internal Help Desk system as first line support
- To take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues
- Tracking and recording issues and solutions within the service desk system
- Creating and updating ‘how to guides’ and the online user knowledge area
- Contacting 3rd party suppliers to escalate problems, arrange service and fix of equipment
- Set up new equipment and upgrading existing systems
- Train employees on new systems, face-to-face and online
- Record and resolve issues relating all deployed systems
- Report issues and provide updates to the Head of IT and other Team members
Key Skills
- IT degree or completion of an IT College course
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written
- Proactive with analytical thinking skills and an initiative to resolve problems
- Methodical approach with ability to work under pressure and still concentrate on difficult tasks
