The Role:

Our client is a forward-thinking legal firm based in Newcastle, committed to providing exceptional service to their clients, the team leverages technology to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring they stay ahead in the competitive legal landscape. They are looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to help maintain and innovate their IT infrastructure to support the day-to-day operations of our business. As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a critical role in the backbone of the firm's operations and your expertise will ensure all IT systems are reliable, secure, and efficient, supporting their staff and clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and improve the IT infrastructure, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and resilient.

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal operation.

Manage backups, disaster recovery, and ensure data integrity and security.

Collaborate with external vendors and internal teams to enhance IT infrastructure and services.

Keep abreast of new technologies and recommend solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Provide technical support and guidance to staff, improving their understanding and use of IT systems.

Participate in planning and implementing IT projects that support the firm's strategic goals.

About You:

A passion for IT and a problem-solving mindset.

Proven experience in IT infrastructure management, including servers, networks, and cloud services.

Strong knowledge of security best practices and data protection regulations.

Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.

Experience in a legal or professional services environment is advantageous but not essential.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, VMware) are desirable.
