Agratas is a global battery business within the Tata group. We are rapidly scaling up our operations to pioneer the design, development, and manufacturing of batteries for electric vehicles (EVs) at our state-of-the-art gigafactory in the UK.

The Role

As FMEA Engineer you will be a subject matter expert on the utilisation and best practice utilisation of FMEA across the business. You will be instrumental in defining systems tools and processes to enable the business to identify and develop best practices for proactive risk analysis, failure mode prevention and operational control.

You will be part of a team of engineers ensuring overall reliability of product and processes to minimise risk and impact of failure, utilising clear data analysis techniques to make quality recommendations across the business and act as a quality partner to R&D and manufacturing.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing the FMEA standards and supporting stakeholder processes for the business.
  • Supporting the development of product and process failure mode and risk analysis procedures and processes across the business.
  • Support the implementation of systems to enable the FMEA.
  • Utilisation of AIAG/VDA 5th Edition FMEA across the business.
  • Develop training material and lead training session to ensure the business can utilize FMEA with maximum effectiveness.
  • Facilitation of FMEA analysis sessions, coordinating the sessions to ensure maximum effectiveness and output of the cross-functional team.
  • Reporting on overall project risks identified through FMEA analysis.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Educated to Degree level in an Engineering or Quality related subject.
  • Previous experience within Automotive and/or Chemical Manufacturing.
  • Subject matter expert regarding AIAG/VDA 5th Edition FMEA handbook.
  • Proven stakeholder management and relationship building skills and proven cross-functional leadership skills.
