Responsibilities

We are recruiting a new role in the Specialist Pre-Sales Team with a focus on Networking and IoT to support sales and new business by providing technical solutions to new and existing customers across all elements of networking and connectivity.

There is a real opportunity to expand your knowledge on all things IoT and the underlying infrastructure that supports IoT.

The role will require the successful applicant to work with sales, pre-sales and technical services to provide solutions, proposals and cost models to new and existing customers and also presenting these solutions as technical design lead.

The role will require they establish, qualify, understand and validate our customers’ business and technical requirements to a sufficient level that enables them to translate these into a deliverable solution.

As Commercial Bid Modelling Consultant you will be responsible for:

  • The Commercial Bid Modeller shall:

    • Maintain and manage the Global Rate Cards across each sector
    • Ensure the Global Pricing Tool is in line with all ongoing business changes, and regulatory changes
    • Support the coordination of pricing models, cost proposals, budgets, and tenders, including providing support of the development of internal cost budgets.
    • Commercial design for managed service solutions
    • Develop commercial models for both standard and non-standard managed service solutions
    • Ensure that the solution meets the client’s scope, industry standards, and commercial requirements
    • Review changes and make modifications to existing managed service contracts
    • Implement standard data modelling tools, development techniques, and standards
    • Contribute to the development of training and orientation sessions on relevant areas of contract pricing and deliver them to the appropriate audiences to ensure adoption of best-practice.
    • Work with the wider organisation providing Commercial support, in particular to pre-sales and sales team to secure new business
    • Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements
    • Document all assumptions and dependencies
    • Ensure commercial governance across the business is implemented and maintained where necessary
    • Budgeting of large-scale commercial proposals, ensuring all bids are both competitive and commercially viable.

Qualifications

Customer focus and relationship building:

    • Should be customer-focused with experience in building meaningful relationships that support customer retention.
    • Passion for driving best practices and high customer satisfaction.
    • Strong customer-facing experience with the ability to articulate complex information to various stakeholders.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document and present customer requirements and value propositions effectively with multiple stakeholders.
    • Proven ability to work productively with a wide variety of stakeholders to meet tight deadlines with an emphasis on producing quality products.

Commercial and Analytical skills:

    • Ability to understand and navigate complex commercial models.
    • Strong commercial acumen to develop contract pricing, including the calculation of daily fee rates.
    • Analyse and evaluate managed service models for efficiency, optimization, and quality.
    • Understanding of commercial modelling best practices and analytical techniques.
    • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills.
    • Effective problem-solving skills.
    • Advanced Excel Skills 
    • Ability to work independently to tight deadlines, across multiple projects simultaneously.
