Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of AIX & Power HA upgrades over a period of 26 weeks. The successful candidate will be instrumental in achieving our business objective to upgrade HACMP to PowerHA SystemMirror Version 7.2.6, ensuring support for IBM AIX 7.1 with Technology Level 5 with Service Pack 9, or later. This upgrade is critical for enhancing the supportability of OBA, Revenue Management, ESFS, and SDS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and finalise the project according to strict deadlines and within budget.
- Coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver the project according to plan.
- Define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within scope, and within budget.
Requirements:
- Proven project management experience in IT, particularly with AIX & Power HA upgrades.
- Strong understanding of IBM AIX 7.1 and PowerHA SystemMirror Version 7.2.6.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to lead project teams to deliver within tight deadlines.
- PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
