The role

Orbit have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced IT Product Manager who will be focussing on all of Orbit’s key Finance, Procurement, HR, Payroll and Corporate business systems built primarily within Dynamics 365, responsible for maintaining, reporting, developing and owning issues with regard to service levels to the business. 

This role is part of Corporate Services where you'll help us give colleagues the support they need to be brilliant.

What you'll achieve

In this role of Product Manager you will focus on the business and our customers to ensure business needs and requirements are turned into solutions and drive business improvements. You will also need to build strong relations with key business, IT and Business stakeholders of all levels to become a trusted advisor/partner and drive opportunities to improve the service offerings. 

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Define, communicate and execute a robust Domain strategy, whilst ensuring that the stability of current operations are maintained and that the operating model, service levels, resources and cost-base are fit for purpose to support Orbit’s strategy.
  • Lead product design, development and release process for assigned products and maintain the product development road map.
  • Lead a team/virtual team, with the support of the Architects, Business Change & Service Delivery for Orbit. Ensure both internal resources and 3rd party partners have the capability to deliver against the plan.
  • Manage stakeholders’ expectations in relation to deliverables and proactively identify and manage risks. 
  • Accountable for ensuring effective contracts are in place for all Orbit IT systems and are well managed and delivering to required standards.

What you'll bring

To be considered for this role you will need have previous experience of supporting/leading in a D365 F&O/Dynamics AX environment.

Essential skills

  • Experience of leading diverse teams, vendor staff management, mentoring and coaching junior staff to maximise performance
  • Proven delivery capability of complex multi-dimensional transformation change projects and programmes; Experience leading Digital transformation and managing large teams.
  • Delivery of entire technology based products from start to finish
  • Ability to successfully interact with senior Business and IT stakeholders to build IT strategies and roadmaps that support business models and outcomes
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences including senior executives, business, architecture, programme managers etc
  • Financial, Procurement, HR and Payroll management awareness/background.

Desirable skills

  • IT Product Management experience
  • ACCA or equivalent accreditation in Finance or CIPD or similar accreditation in HR or CIPS or similar accreditation in Procurement
