ICT Operations Engineer
Salary up to £31,000 + Benefits
Cardiff
CPS Group are currently working with an established and exciting South Wales based organisation who have a fantastic opportunity for a new ICT Operations Engineer to join their growing team.
In this role you will be playing a vital role in providing 2nd line support to the organisations operational systems. You will also be ensuring the smooth running of key systems critical to the business and helping to deliver new exciting projects.
In this position you will receive training in the organisations bespoke IT systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitoring and managing the organisations key operation systems whilst remaining secure and compliant
* Providing 2nd line support by identifying and resolving issues in a proactive manner
* Developing new solutions to complex integrations and configurations problems
* Creating and maintaining documentation
* Mentoring and training other more junior team members on new and existing technologies
Required Skills / Experience:
* Previous experience in an end-user support role or computer operations environment
* Good Technical Knowledge of Microsoft's server operating systems
* Technical knowledge of Backup and DR services
* Good knowledge of VoIP telephony systems
* Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networking
* Excellent understanding of PC hardware set up and configuration
