Looking for ServiceNow ITOM Visibility Service Mapping Engineer contractors, responsible for the rollout of the Service Mapping capability. Core Skills include 1+ year's experience of Configuration Management using ServiceNow, experience of ServiceNow CMDB data model (CSDM) and ServiceNow ITOM discovery & Service Mapping. Is this something you have experience of or would you know anyone suitable?

The roles would be hybrid with approx 2 days a week in the West London office and the rest working from home (so you would need to be based in the UK and have the right to work in the UK). It would be a 6 month contract initially.

The rate has yet to be confirmed so please advise on what Umbrella Day rate you would need (as this will likely be inside IR35) when applying with your CV.

Roles & Responsibilities:
The ServiceNow ITOM Visibility Service Mapping Engineer role sits in the The Service Configuration Management (SCM) team and will be responsible for the rollout of the Service Mapping capability within the organization. Your role will cover the initial data gathering of Service Mapping entry points, ensure adequate permissions are granted and assist in the development of custom discovery patterns to classify and relate all infrastructure components.

Your daily duties:

* Perform day to day administration of the ServiceNow Service Mapping tool, including mapping additional defined business services into the tool.
* Work with Application SMEs to capture entry point data for key business applications.
* Work with Service Owners and SMEs to ensure developed service maps are related to the appropriate Service and Service Offerings.
* Identify potential Service Mapping candidates based on horizontally discovered data.
* Work with the internal ServiceNow development team to create, test, and deploy new discovery patterns.
* Monitors discovery and service mapping results, reconciling and addressing with data owners.
* Maintain the integrity of the Service Mapping process within production and non-production environments.
* Create and maintain Service Mapping discovery schedules.
* Periodic review of operational procedures and publish new revisions when necessary.

Required Skills & Experiences
Candidates for this role should at least 1 year's experience Configuration Management and using ServiceNow. They should also have broad knowledge of multiple technology domains, including network, infrastructure, and application architecture, as well as a good understanding of ITIL processes, and the part Configuration Management plays in service delivery.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of a broad range of technologies and how they work together to deliver services to fulfil a business requirement. They will be able to explain the core principles of Configuration Management, and how it relates to Incident and Change Management within the ITIL framework.

Core Skills:
* ServiceNow CMDB data model (CSDM)
* ServiceNow ITOM discovery & Service Mapping
* Java Regular Expression
* Business application architecture
* Familiarity with Infrastructure (Windows Server, Linux), Virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V) and Network architecture (switches, routers, firewalls, OSI network model)
* Ability to discuss credentials issues and troubleshoot with engineers.
