Head of Technology required to join a growing FMCG business in Glasgow, with remote work. IFS experience is an absolute must have for this role. This is a 2 year Fixed-Term contract with full benefits.

The company:

The business are an FMCG food company, based out of Glasgow with a further site in the south of England. They have around 300 employees and have recently acquired another business, similar to what they already do.

The company are going through technology changes and this role will be a pivotal player in that change. Reporting into the COO, you will be responsible for the wider IT team as well as a huge focus on the current ERP system, IFS. This role will initially be to maximise the functionality of IFS 10 (which is currently in place) and then after this, you will help to implement IFS Cloud in 2026 as the company looks to modernise their IT offering. The role will be largely fully remote, from anywhere across the UK, with occasional travel to the Glasgow and UK sites.

The role:

In terms of background, it is pivotal this Head of Technology/IT must be an expert across IFS ERP system. They are really looking to get the most out of IFS 10 initially before the move to the cloud, so need someone who knows the system well and who can do this.

You will be looking after an IT team of seven individuals across Business Analysts, Infrastructure and Reporting. As well as managing the team, you will manage the IFS projects as well as the relationship with the MSP, who will be delivering IFS services. This individual should still have strong cyber security, infrastructure and general security skills, whilst also an expert on all things ERP and IFS. Although it is only initially a 2 year FTC, there is scope to extend past this and become permanent, if both sides feel it is the right fit.

Role requirements:

** A number of years in Head of Technology/Head of IT/IT Manager role

** Strong IFS specific ERP experience (ideally IFS 10 or cloud)

** Having led and managed a team of 5+ technical and Infrastructure individuals

** Manufacturing background (very beneficial)

** Programme/Project Management and delivery experience
