Location:
Kirkby In Ashfield
Work on a varied workload of projects and change requests. We build, host and maintain the majority of our systems and applications, supporting our head and regional offices and our teams out in the field. Our development teams are responsible for reviewing business requirements and translating these into business enhancing, mobile first, applications that we then build and implement in line with industry best practice standards. We host our own cloud and manage our own infrastructure, which enables us to be innovative and stay ahead in our industry.

Responsibilities
  • Working on business approved projects
  • Interpret requirements into working code
  • Liaising with operational teams to ensure successful delivery
  • Provide accurate timescales and updates
  • Communicate and escalate issues to lead where required
  • Supporting released projects for an outlined period
  • Working with operational teams to understand genuine errors and rectify accordingly
  • Support the transition into business as usual once the project has moved into the production environment  -
  • Follow the Secure Development Policy and Development Standards
  • Supporting the business via the Support Portal for incidents and service requests
  • Stand-ups to track progress and be proactive with issues
  • Expanding knowledge and experience of the systems used by colleagues
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
  • .NET
  • C#
  • Web API
  • SQL server and T-SQL
  • Working with Git
  • Knowledge and experience working with frameworks and design patterns
  • Proficient at resolving complex issues
  • Proven track record of delivering to requirements
  • Experience working with business-critical systems (desirable)
  • Excellent communicator, verbally/written and able to use tact and diplomacy
  • Proactive, a self-starter with a passionate can do attitude
  • Collaborative and forward thinking and maintains industry knowledge and technological advancements
