Senior Azure Data Engineer - London - £90,000

A global organisation operating within the telecommunications space are looking for a Senior Azure Data Engineer to join their growing IT function. The organisation have invested heavily in their technology stack, with the implementation of Microsoft Fabric being an important project in the pipeline. The data team aim to deliver a comprehensive and insightful reporting suite using the large datasets they have at their disposal and this role will play a key role in ensuring key stakeholders are able to have insights at their fingertips!

In this role you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Azure data platform. Over time, the organisation are looking to introduce AI concepts where the data team will take the lead on its implementation.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for some of the following areas

• Take the lead on the development of data platform architecture including the creation and development of data pipelines
• Implement and develop data ingestion solutions
• Use your technical experience to provide support and promote best practice across the data and IT teams

This is a salaried role paying up to £90,000 per annum depending on experience and a company benefits package. The role is a hybrid opportunity with 2 days working out of the organisation's office in central London working closely with the rest of the data team.

To be successful in the role you will have

• Proven experience working with the Microsoft Azure platform including Azure SQL Server, Azure Logic Apps and Azure Functions
• Strong experience building and developing robust data pipelines using Azure Data Factory
• Strong understanding of data warehousing principles, data modelling and data integration techniques
