The Reporting and Data Analytics Lead will be ultimately responsible for developing and implementing a complete reporting framework that supports the governance structure, organisation and delivery model. They will ensure reporting utilises appropriate reporting software applications and supporting infrastructure. They will also establish a Business Intelligence and Data Analytics team that will ensure SZC utilises latest software, applications and tools to facilitate productivity improvements through the development of tools/applications, automation of processes, automated analytics and ensuring the wider distribution and ease of access to management information.

The candidate must also have a demonstrable experience/ track record of managing and leading on Reporting within a Mega Project environment. They must have experience of both Project and Business requirements for Reporting which will ensure that they are able to demonstrate and provide examples of what exceptional reporting looks like. They will have significant knowledge of the Project Controls functions and their purpose to be able to develop exemplar reports without a reliance on the functional leads within Project Controls. This knowledge and their previous experience on major programmes and projects will enable them to assure and edit reporting narrative, so that reports all have a consistent style, and the narrative answers the 'So What?' question for Managers and Leadership. They will be able to demonstrate previous experience of writing narrative for multiple levels in a Programme, Project or Business from Delivery Teams and Functions through to Boards and Investors.

They will have experience of working with Executive Leadership Teams and will be comfortable to run month end Performance Reviews with the support of the Head of Programme Controls. They will be a people leader with experience of recruitment, supporting their team with continued professional development and using their leadership skills to build and maintain a high-performing team.


Principal Accountabilities


* Strategic leadership and line management of the Reporting and Data Analytics Function
* Establishment of a Performance Reporting Framework and embedment within the team
* Establishment of a Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Framework
* Build and maintain a high performing team with direct line management and functional management of resources deployed into the delivery teams.
* Accountable for the on-time production and quality of all month end Performance Reports
* Ensure is viewed by the Construction Industry as an exemplar in Reporting Data Analytics through knowledge sharing, networking and delivering presentations to the sector.
* Management of stakeholders across from Board to Delivery
* Responsible for 8 to 10 Direct Reports (at peak) and up to 15 functionally.


Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience

Essential


* All items detailed above in the Job Purpose and accountabilities section.
* Degree or equivalent qualification in business analysis, accounting, finance, construction, engineering or project management, or related technical field.
* A track record of implementing reporting solutions on Cloud platforms and developing reporting products for multiple stakeholders on large and complex infrastructure projects.
* Expert user of a range of reporting and analytics software and project controls systems particularly Power BI.
* Demonstrable experience of successfully managing a team in a matrix structure on a mega project.
* Extensive experience with increasing responsibility showing an ability to manage stakeholders from Board to Delivery level.
* Deliverables focused and an accomplished problem solver, rising to meet any challenge.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

Desirable


* Experience of working within any of the Project Controls Functions of: cost control, estimating, scheduling, change management and risk management
* Active membership of AACE, PMI, APM or similar association with association certifications.
* Detailed understanding of earned value analysis.
* Understanding of various contract types, in particular the NEC suite and FIDIC.
* Professionally qualified with chartered or equivalent status
* Experience in the Nuclear sector.
