Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), Athlone, Hybrid, €55-60k per annum

We are seeking an experienced SDET to join our client based in Athlone, who are in the financial industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Design, implement, and execute test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
• Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Work closely with developers to understand code changes and perform code reviews.
• Utilize your expertise in Java development to contribute to the automation of test cases.
• Write automation scripts to trigger Batch processing data and verify entries in Oracle databases.
• Document test cases, test results, and defects to facilitate communication and issue resolution.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum methodologies, providing valuable input during sprint planning and retrospectives.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of proven experience in Quality Assurance and software testing.
• Strong proficiency in Java development with a focus on test automation.
• Experience with both manual and automation testing with a strong knowledge of SQL for Database testing.
• Familiarity with Kafka and OpenShift technologies is highly desirable.
