Slough - Hybrid - 1 day per week
Up to £70,000
We are currently recruiting for a Data engineer to join our client in the financial/food industry as they are embarking on a major transformation. This opportunity will be a fast paced role working directly with Decision makers and Data scientists.
As a Data Engineer you will have experience working with Azure Technologies, SQL, good python skills and experience in finance would be advantageous.

The Role:
- Build robust and reliable data platforms that organises data from multiple sources
- Work with large datasets to build data models
- To use best practices to design and implement the data platform
- Work in agile cross functional teams
- Built and managed data platforms on-premise and in Azure.
- Proficient in Azure services like Synapse, SQL, and Purview.
- Experienced with SQL Server stack and optimisation.
- Skilled in PySpark and Python for data pipeline development.
- Designed warehouses, lakes, and models.
- Implemented data governance tools and ensured data quality.
- Familiar with both relational and NoSQL databases.
- Created analytic's dashboards using Power BI.
- Utilised CI/CD pipelines and version control.
- Extracted data from SAP systems.
- Followed software design best practices and collaborated with data scientists.
- Familiar with agile methodologies
