Rate - £650 (per day)

Duration - 6 Months (initially)

Location - Manchester (Hybrid)

Ir35 - Inside Ir35 (Must use an umbrella company)

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced ServiceNow CMDB (Configuration Management Database) Coordinator to join our client.

Position Overview:

The ServiceNow CMDB Coordinator will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the ServiceNow platform. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, configure the CMDB, and ensure alignment with best practices and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into CMDB design and configuration specifications.
  • Design, implement, and maintain the CMDB data model, including configuration item (CI) classes, relationships, and attributes.
  • Configure ServiceNow Discovery and other integration tools to populate the CMDB with accurate and up-to-date information about IT assets and infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain CMDB-related policies, processes, and procedures to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with industry standards (e.g., ITIL).
  • Collaborate with other ServiceNow teams (e.g., Incident Management, Change Management) to integrate CMDB functionality into broader IT service management processes.
  • Provide guidance and support to other IT teams on CMDB-related matters, including data reconciliation, troubleshooting, and reporting.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of the CMDB to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Stay current with ServiceNow platform updates, new features, and industry trends related to configuration management and CMDB best practices.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on CMDB-related topics, delivering training sessions, workshops, and presentations as needed.
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of third-party tools and technologies to enhance CMDB functionality and integration capabilities.
