Fantastic, brand new permanent opportunity for a Software Configuration Analyst to join an award winning, Digital Business Media Company in West Sussex. 

Joining a smaller, friendly and supportive team and being part of the wider Development and IT/Digital team.

The role is quite unique and will evolve over time.  It will suit someone that enjoys and embraces change and enjoys learning new skills and technologies along the journey.  You will have the opportunity to work with a new piece of software called DXP while utilising your current technologies and skills. 

Working with key brands and across 20+ websites, your role will be to spot problem within the software, make technical amendments and configuration of the software.  When the problem is more complex or falls within the UX/Front End design, to raise a ticket and work closely with the UX Team to resolve the problem.  There is also a large element of testing your own work until the problem is fixed.

You would work closely with the business, understanding their requirements and ensuring the new Digital cloud-based platform is running effectively. 

Rolling out new features and updates across the websites and then rolling out the releases through a GIT release process.  Being the primary escalation point for business-critical issues and ensure that the issues are reported and resolved in a timely manner. 

The role offers a hybrid way of working, two days in the office and three days working from home per week.   

Skills/experience and attributes required:

• Around two years’ experience of working on Software configuration within a commercial office environment
• Experience of React is highly desirable
• Experience of JSON, XML and Javascript
• Experience of GIT
• Good knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Experience of testing own software queries
• Ability to troubleshoot front end performance issues related to configuration and code using JavaScript, CSS and HTML
• High attention to detail
• Take pride in your work and ensure its correct and accurate
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
• Adaptable and flexible to change
