The selected candidate will collaborate with clients, their delivery teams, senior leadership, and industry and academic affiliates to execute ongoing projects, shape new endeavours, and influence strategic direction.

My client is situated in Wiltshire, with a hybrid work model encompassing remote work and onsite presence in varied locations including London, Milton Keynes, and other locations along the M4.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Capable of assuming responsibility for client engagement to gather and document both functional and non-functional requisites alongside corresponding validation criteria.
  • Demonstrates adept leadership qualities, adept at fostering connections, managing stakeholders, adept problem-solving, and constructively challenging client perspectives.
  • Proactively involved in crafting and upholding technical documentation.
  • Drives the technical execution of software and solution development endeavours to meet client expectations, collaborating closely with project and program management.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in conducting thorough analysis and formulating high-level solution architectures and business process blueprints.
  • Proficient in devising 18-24 month technical implementation strategies. Skilled in orchestrating technical workshops, and engaging clients in solution exploration.
  • Self-driven with the capacity to discern priorities and juggle multiple project contributions concurrently.
  • Possesses exceptional communication skills, coupled with a profound technical acumen and genuine enthusiasm for technology.
  • An individual with a minimum of 3 years of consultancy experience, with substantial exposure to technology advancement and deployment.
  • Experienced in customer-facing, hands-on solution design, development, and implementation.
  • Able to familiarize oneself with the entirety of the business's capabilities to bring forth the necessary skills and knowledge for achieving success.
  • Proficient in collaborative teamwork and adept at working with external partners.
  • Comfortable devising, delivering, and providing training and knowledge transfer sessions internally and for clients regarding implemented solutions.
  • An individual well-versed in a variety of proven methodologies applicable to solution development endeavours.

Essential

  • Proficient in fostering a sense of value among all stakeholders.
  • Meticulous attention to detail coupled with a systematic and professional demeanour in solution design and implementation.
  • Confident in guiding stakeholders through active listening and collaborative planning processes.
  • Collaborative team player, providing support across various workstreams.
  • Possesses strong analytical abilities for technical and project performance assessment and reporting (e.g., utilising Microsoft Project).
  • Demonstrates adept and rapid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Embraces a robust configuration control approach and takes a proactive stance towards documentation.
  • SC Clearance or Willingness to undergo UK Security Clearance (SC) as a minimum requirement.
  • Comfortable with soliciting challenges and involving others in decision-making processes when appropriate.

Desirable

  • Quantitative degree incorporating elements of software development coursework.
  • Proficient in Project Management within Defence & Security and/or various Government Departments, inclusive of Agile and/or Scaled Agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Software Development or Systems Engineering standards.
  • Experienced in overseeing software Secure Development and Operations (DevSecOps).
  • Proficient in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applications.
  • Competent in Requirements Management and possessing familiarity with relational databases.
