The team operates with a flat management structure and a high degree of autonomy, whilst all possess general IT infrastructure engineering skills, they are each assigned an area of expertise where they operate as an SME. At present there is not a specific gap in any given area of specialism so the portfolio can be strengthened around the successful applicant and areas of responsibility can be repositioned to ensure optimum coverage. THE ROLE: Senior Infrastructure Engineer

• The successful candidate will work closely with vendors, consultants, systems and network engineers, quantitative traders, programmers and senior management to provide a high performance, robust infrastructure to support all aspects of the client’s business.
• As part of a small group undertaking the support of a technologically complex organisation, the individual will attend to the current most urgent need of the firm when required with a focus on the continuous improvement of the estate within their area of specialism.
• The opportunity to be a keen researcher and trial a variety of technologies, ideas and possible solutions whilst maintaining focus on delivering a working product.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Senior Infrastructure Engineer

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in your given area of specialism
  • Our client is open with regards to level of experience, provided you are exceptional for the stage you are at in your career
• Effective infrastructure management within your area of specialism. Utilising practical knowledge of monitoring tools, configuration management, proactive maintenance, and intelligent resilient system design
• Demonstrated proficiency in addressing intricate problems and automating routine administrative tasks where appropriate
• Strong programming / scripting ability (Python / PowerShell) is particularly desirable, and experience of developing modular code is preferred.
• Be an outstanding subject matter expert (SME) in one of the following areas….
