The Product team at Pixl8 are responsible for developing the ReadyMembership platform and other products which are used to deliver outstanding solutions to the association and membership sector.

We are looking for an exceptional and enthusiastic application Developer to join our growing team. You will work directly with the product owners and other stakeholders to finesse requirements and build software that exceeds expectations.

In this role, you will be given the opportunity to solve business and digital challenges, whilst using and developing your skills in a supportive, friendly and flexible environment.

You will primarily work remotely, with visits to the company base in London expected on average up to once a month.

The Role

As a Developer, you will be keen to progress your career as part of our product team. You will be experienced in web development and have an eye for detail. We look for developers who are keen to explore modern web development practices and grow with us as a part of our fun and agile team.

You will have the opportunity to help with the scoping of requirements and being able to openly talk and express your opinion on problem solving is vital to help deliver well considered software. 

Above all, you will manage stakeholder expectations and professionally represent the company, whilst providing excellent customer service. This will involve building relationships with stakeholders through problem-solving and education on best-practise product use.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written English language skills
  • Willingness to participate in scoping conversations with other team members
  • Thrive on providing a great customer experience
  • A passion for SaaS/software application development
  • Strong and diverse technical skills in Web development preferably with PHP, Java, Python or Coldfusion.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
  • Ability to work in teams and have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Able to work independently.

Skills and Knowledge
  • Web application development
  • Good understanding of relational database concepts
  • Practical MySQL or SQL Server knowledge
  • Familiarity in developing and integrating web services and APIs
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented (OOP) development principals
  • Wireframing and UX skills are a plus
  • jQuery, HTML5 and CSS are a plus
  • Lucee/ColdFusion experience a plus
  • Version control experience using Git is a plus
  • Scrum and Agile experience is also a plus
  • Understanding of common frameworks and design patterns used with web development.
  • A creative, resourceful and tenacious approach to problem-solving
  • Experience counts more than a 1st Class Hons in computer science. That said, if you have gone the academic route a good degree in a related subject will be valuable. If you haven’t then please point us at your portfolio, GitHub accounts or other open source contributions.

Salary

The salary for this role is based upon experience but will range from £50,000 to £60,000 per annum.
