We are seeking a proficient SQL Developer with strong experiences in GeoSpatial SQLServer systems. In this role, you will primarily focus on SQL database development to support new features and functionality across the TripShift mobile applications and cloud platform products. Additionally, you will be responsible for all Ci/CD deployment and release processes, ensuring smooth transitions from Development to Production environments across various platforms, including iOS and Android mobile applications, and cloud platform applications.

Key Responsibilities:

SQL Database Development

• Develop and optimize SQL databases and scripts to support new features and functionalities across our products.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and implement database solutions that align with product goals.
• Include Entity Framework guidance and process with knowledge of .NET Core 8.

Geospatial  Expertise

• Utilize your strong knowledge of Geospatial concepts and practices to design and maintain efficient data structures and queries. You will also need to design data visualisation repositories as well as interfaces for external published repositories for sharing data.
• Work closely with the Tech team to optimize data handling processes and enhance overall system performance.
• Keep up to date on the latest in data management and data visualisation techniques, to recommend appropriate data visualisations to the Product team to inform design.

Deployment and Release Management

• Coordinate and oversee end-to-end deployment processes, ensuring seamless transition of new features and functionality from Development through to Production, across the entire TripShift Product Stack.
• Develop deployment scripts and automation tools to streamline the deployment process wherever possible and minimize downtime. Based on Microsoft tools and Atlassian systems.
• Ensure compatibility and consistency of database deployments across different environments and platforms.
• Implement best practices for deployment management, version control, and release coordination.

Quality Assurance

• Collaborate with QA teams to validate deployments and ensure that all functionalities are properly deployed and tested in each environment.
• Conduct post-deployment validation and troubleshooting to address any issues that arise.

Documentation and Reporting

• Document database schemas, scripts, and deployment processes for reference and future maintenance.
• Generate reports on deployment metrics, performance, and database usage for management review.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree – or equivalent experience – in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a SQL Developer with expertise in Geospatial systems.
• Strong proficiency in SQL database development and optimization.
• Experience with deployment methodologies, version control systems, and deployment automation tools.
• Familiarity with mobile application deployment processes for iOS and Android platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud platform deployment technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
• Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Understanding of, and experience with, data visualisation would be beneficial.
