The Infrastructure Solution Architecture Manager will lead a group of infrastructure solution engineers, will serve as the senior infrastructure solution authority across all the infrastructure domains and will act as a technical liaison between IT and the business.

A Day In The Life:
  • Lead and manage the infrastructure solution design capability for Control Risks.
  • Develop and organize cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) systems - activities to include cloud adoption planning, managing cloud resource usage and scalability, cloud monitoring, container technology, and cloud privacy and security.
  • Complete detail analysis of infrastructure design and security standards.
  • Design and implement information systems to support the enterprise infrastructure.
  • Working in coordination with the enterprise-wide stakeholders to align business need to infrastructure solutions.
  • Lead the design/implementation of a robust, secure and scalable network as it relates to enterprise infrastructure.
  • Co-own in the definition of Control Risks infrastructure architecture.
  • Define and maintain clear set of non-functional requirements for infrastructure as a component of overall enterprise solution design.
  • Ensure solutions are built in accordance with defined non-functional requirements.
  • Ensure comprehensive infrastructure configuration records are delivered at the time of commissioning new services.
  • Ensure operating procedures are provided to the Infrastructure Operations function in a comprehensive and timely manner.
  • Oversee the configuration, installation and testing of network hardware, and software; includes but not limited to routers, switches, firewalls and SD-WAN.
  • Where necessary, support Infrastructure Operations in monitoring, collecting and preparing statistical data for analysis on security monitoring, network performance, and availability (monitoring of network device logs, monitoring of port statistics)
  • Provide guidance on infrastructure design and operation industry best practice.
  • Lead the design and support the implementation of infrastructure hardening tasks.
  • Responsible for day-to-day level 3 problem troubleshooting and resolution of the infrastructure environment.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with defined CAB processes.
  • Working in conjunction with the Infrastructure Operations function, regularly review capacity of the infrastructure domain and raise cost-justified recommendations for dealing with issues before they impact the business.
  • Recommend, cost-justify and lead execution of modifications to the existing infrastructure design to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.
  • Participates in disaster recovery testing and rehearsals.

Requirements

Who You Are:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in infrastructure support, delivery and design.
  • The Infrastructure Solution Architecture Manager must be a strong leader and communicator with exceptional analytic and problem solving skills.
  • Experience working for global enterprise organizations.
  • Strong experience in designing, integrating and managing complex infrastructure solutions Experience with the planning and communicating the enterprise infrastructure Roadmap - include details with Azure, Servers, Operating Systems, Capacity, Desktop Architecture, Alert Monitoring, Problem Determination, Incident Management, Backup/Recovery.
  • Strong collaborator and leader with exceptional communications skills.
  • ITIL framework and best practices.
  • Web technologies (devices, servers, cloud instances, and networking protocols that enable applications and data). experience to include building an enterprise architecture.
  • Planning and supporting processes and adhering to best practices.
  • Knowledge of penetration testing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS/WAF) and vulnerability assessment tools.
  • Extensive switching, routing and firewall experience.
  • Experience in producing implementation documents (e.g. new office setup).
  • Extensive VPN and Global network routing implementation and support.
  • Project Management and architectural understanding.
  • Knowledge of cloud services and BYOD.
  • Knowledge of Information security compliance standards (ISO27001).
  • ITIL Version 3 foundation level or above desirable.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Organized, methodical and self-motivated.
  • Ability to visualise and analyse problems affecting multiple systems/locations.
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends and new technologies.
  • Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDP) concepts.
  • Experience supporting network Technologies such as LAN switching/Routing, Firewalls and/or Load Balancers.
  • Windows Servers and Protocols experience such as DNS, DHCP, DFS, NTFS.
  • Takes the initiative to proactively resolve issues within own remit and recognises when escalation is required.
  • Uses own knowledge, experience and data to make sounds judgements or assist others with sound judgements.
  • Considers the regional and global implications of what we do in our own areas of responsibility.
  • Identifies and builds relationships across team and region.
  • Understands need to work within project scope, including price.
  • Shows understanding of others in order to influence as appropriate.
