About the team

The CIO Platform team has a global presence, providing Service Delivery for all CIO owned functions to the Cleared Derivatives business.  Core responsibilities of the team include Environment Delivery, Capacity Management, Network Services, Kafka Support, Governance and interlock with the business and broader CIO support functions.

What you will be doing

Based in the UK this role will be reporting directly to the Cleared Derivatives Platform Owner.

You will be responsible for CIO service delivery, focusing on a tier 1 client, ensuring that all FIS policies, best practices, and contractual commitments are honoured with respect to the hosting environment.

You will demonstrate a blend of technical skills and ability to pro-actively solution based on requirements along with proficiency in communicating and presenting to internal and external stakeholders.

• Works closely with clients and business partners to understand business and technology requirements that drive analysis and design of quality technical solutions. These solutions must be aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with FIS architectural standards.

• Analyzes business and technical requirements; translate those requirements into product designs.

• Communicates system architecture to technical and business audiences.

• Writes technical specifications and other forms of documentation.

  • Responsible for Service Delivery of all CIO owned functions to the Cleared Derivatives business (Infrastructure, Network, Backups, Delivery, etc..)
  • Focus on hosting solution availability and resiliency for tier 1 customer on the FISCD application.  Point of contact for bespoke environment, face off to internal and external stake holders.
  • Solution, implement and maintain Cyber Resiliency patterns.
  • May require in-depth knowledge of networking, computing platform, storage, database, security, middleware, network and systems management and related infrastructure technologies and practices

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or engineering or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

  • Previous experience in Service Delivery role
  • Technical background and ability to quickly lean and understand new technologies.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges across a broad range of activities.
  • Proficiency in business modelling and business requirements definition disciplines
  • Understanding of software/hardware installation methodologies
  • Ability to estimate work effort for project sub-plans or small projects and ensure projects are successfully completed
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors
  • Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external customers
  • Willingly shares relevant technical and/or industry knowledge and expertise to other resources
  • Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take
  • Flexibility, versatility, dependability
  • Positive outlook, strong work ethic

Added bonus if you have:

  • Experience with Networks, Kafka, Splunk, Infrastructure backup processes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of FIS products and services
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial services industry
