About the role:

The technical lead on the project is responsible for coordinating all of the technical tasks required for the project. Many of these tasks will be done by other teams within FIS and the PTL will be required to communicate with these teams as well as technical representatives from the client to ensure that the project remains on time and budget.

What you will be doing:
A PTL may be responsible for the below areas for multiple smaller projects or a single large project.

• Reporting: The PTL will report to the Project Manager for the duration of the project. They will be responsible for providing weekly updates on technical tasks to the PM to go toward the overall project status and in assisting the PM in explaining any technical issues to FIS internal staff and client/s as required. They will be responsible for tracking tasks to plan and escalating issues with late running tasks and other schedule impacts in a timely manner to the PM.

• Discovery: The PTL’s role during discovery will be to attend any discovery workshops that require technical discussions. Present at a high level on the technical capabilities of the FIS solution and be able to identify any gaps between what the client’s technical solution requires and what FIS do as standard.

• Development: The PTL may be required to write (or assist with) the technical design of any change requests that have arisen from the project discovery.

• Technical Infrastructure: The PTL will be responsible for engaging the network team/s to coordinate any hardware or network requirements for the project.

• Region build and JPC Setup: The PTL will take direction from the Testing Services Manager for all tasks related to the test regions and test batch schedules.

• Implementation: The PTL will own the technical implementation tasks. They will be responsible for coordinating these tasks during implementation.
