About the team

We are establishing a global cloud and network security architecture and engineering function that plays a crucial role in safeguarding Worldpay’s digital assets and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information.

What you will be doing

As an IT Security Solution Architect are enthusiastic for security solutions encompassing technology, people, and processes. You will have oversight across design, implementation, and maintenance of effective systems within the security technology stack. This role will focus primarily on Network Security domain.

• Lead high-level design, to enable implementation and operations of security solutions meet requirements and objectives.
• Provide technical vision and direction to enable engineering teams to implement effective network security tools and technology solutions.
• Develop security technology roadmap to address evolving cybersecurity threats.
• Evaluate and recommend security technologies and vendors throughout the enterprise.
• Consult enterprise project implementations ensuring compliance and provide guidance to meet security architecture, policies, and standards.
• Develop security patterns that are reusable to support business agility.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across security disciplines, architects, engineers to resolve and address solution weaknesses and issues.
• Perform threat modelling, and gap analysis to measure maturity and security posture.
• Deliver and execute projects on the security technical roadmap via security and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop others through training, knowledge-sharing and technical experience.

What you bring:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

• 2-3 years of professional experience in an IT architecture or 4-5 years in a senior security engineering role.
• Experience designing or engineering, configuring, and operating at least three network security technologies such as firewalls, IPS, proxies, WAF, DDoS, SASE, DLP and VPN.
• Deep knowledge of multiple security protection domains including cloud, IAM, network, host, data, threat and vulnerability, and incident response.
• Broad knowledge of network security protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, SSH, RDP, DNS, SSL.
• Able to resolve complex technological problems and determine best path forward.
• Experience within a large global enterprise across multiple countries with various technology platforms and legacy systems.
• A thought leader with excellent communication and design skills to align vision and influence with or without authority.
• Proficiency in information security domains, including policies and standards, risk and control assessments, regulatory compliance, risk and control governance and metrics, and issue management.
• Proactively remains abreast of related evaluating technology trends and requirements such as emerging standards for new technology opportunities.

Added bonus if you have:

• CISSP, CISM, or other relevant security or cloud certifications.
• Working experience of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, SABSA, Zachman
• Experience working within or with teams in security incident response and insider threat.
• Experience working with the complexities of privacy concerns to include cross border data transfer and country specific considerations of data storage, protection, and handling.
