Major IT & Digital have partnered with one of the UK’s leading businesses in the design, manufacturing and retail distribution of semiconductors across both UK and International markets.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on new design projects working within a LabVIEW environment including other programming languages such as C++, Python or C#.

As a well-established business, they lead the way in industrial programming and last year achieved in excess of £20m UK turnover whilst continuing to grow out the IT department with this NEW opportunity to support the Engineering Manager and his team across several bespoke software and hardware projects.

Working with a small engineering and design team consisting of 2 developers and an engineering manager in which to influence and add value to my clients inhouse products through new design and developing user interfaces and machinery integrations.

Directly involved in the full specification, design of software applications and includes the control of automation and machine interfaces.

Due to these exciting projects and ‘hands on’ nature of the work involved this will require an onsite presence.

Here’s the techy stuff…

• Degree educated in a similar software or electrical engineering discipline
• Design and development background of software for automation and control of machinery
• Industrial and programming experience using LabVIEW
• Hardware integration and industrial communication such as EtherCAT
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• User interface design
• SECS/GEM (highly desirable)
