IT Support Specialist

We’re looking for an experienced IT Support Specialist to bring a new perspective and strengthen the IT Service & Operations function.

We’re a small team, so this is a great opportunity to get involved in all aspects of IT.

Right now Autosmart are investing heavily in our IT infrastructure and application portfolio, we will soon be opening our brand new state of the art manufacturing site and this role will strengthen our team to support this.

As a business we have heavily invested in our new ERP and factory IT systems therefore technology underpins how we work. Our IT Support Specialist will be a key member of our Service and Operations Team providing support to the entire business.

Our IT Support Specialist will:

  • Provide in-person and remote support to our colleagues to ensure they get the best from their PC’s, mobile devices, phones, applications and infrastructure,
  • Manage starters and leavers; undertaking PC builds, software installation and set up of workstations,
  • Work using your own skills and experience utilising support from third parties where required
  • Keeping check on hardware & consumable stocks to support the IT procurement process
  • Support our factory and warehouse systems, including barcode scanners, CCTV and other equipment,
  • Proactively maintain our IT systems and hardware to ensure high availability and security

Our IT Support Specialist will bring:

  • Experience in a user-facing IT support role,
  • Knowledge of ITIL working practices or willingness to learn them,
  • Experience of working with current Microsoft Windows operating systems, both Desktop and Server,
  • Experience of Microsoft 365, Entral D/Active Directory, Intune and Teams administration alongside other Microsoft products,
  • Experience of Cyber Security good practice,
  • A positive approach and be self-motivated - keen to work as part of a team,
  • Strong communication skills and be able to select the most appropriate methods of communication,
  • Ability to share technical knowledge with non-technical colleagues,
