Infrastructure Projects Engineer

£40,000 - £45,000/annum Overtime / Mileage / Fully Remote

The business

Major IT and Digital have partnered with one of the UK’s leading managed services business in the south operating across the Kent and surrounding areas.

My client is a well-established MSP business with over 30+ years industry knowledge in both cloud and cyber security services.

As a result of continued business expansion, my client has immediate requirements for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to work on specific project delivery around Microsoft 365 applications.

The person

The successful candidate will come from a similar IT managed services environment with at least 2 years commercial experience in a similar projects based role.

You will be a vital part of the delivery team within the Infrastructure Engineering Department, focusing almost exclusively on project delivery with a demonstrable knowledge around Microsoft 365,  Power Apps,  Intune / Autopilot,  Azure AVD and serverless environments (highly desirable).

**Car and licence is a must for this role!

Skills and responsibilities:

  • Hands on knowledge working within a similar IT projects based engineering position
  • Microsoft Server, Desktop, and Productivity Software, including Microsoft Apps
  • Active Directory and Azure Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, Security 
  • Virtualisation – Hyper-V, VMware, Hyper-Converged infrastructure
  • Public Cloud Services – Azure, AWS
  • Remote Desktop Services / VDI
  • Scripting and Powershell
  • Networking – Firewalls, Switch configuration, LAN/WAN, Routing
  • Remote Desktop Services / VDI
  • Storage concepts – NAS/SAN, iSCSI/Fibre Channel, RAID, Disk Systems
