IT Technician

ICT technicians look after schools’ software’s, hardware’s, networks and provide technical support to both the teachers and pupils.
You will need to be able to work as part of a team and by yourself.
You will be required to-
- Providing technical support for both teacher and pupils
- Liaising with suppliers about maintenance
- Run diagnostics and come up with a suitable plan to fix the issue.
- Installing software and upgrading out of date compliances.
- Regularly checking if there are any internet issues.
- Maintaining the schools’ network
- Ensuring that the internet systems are safe for children to use and protect them.
Skills and experience you will need –
- A positive approach to work
- Excellent organisational skills
- Knowledge of IT used within schools.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- An awareness of health and safety, especially within computer appliances
- The ability to work as both an individual or as a team player
- The ability to explain issues to non-technical users.
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines set
This position is Monday – Friday, 8.30 to 3.30 within the Preston area.
