ICT technicians look after schools’ software’s, hardware’s, networks and provide technical support to both the teachers and pupils.

You will need to be able to work as part of a team and by yourself.

You will be required to-

• Providing technical support for both teacher and pupils
• Liaising with suppliers about maintenance
• Run diagnostics and come up with a suitable plan to fix the issue.
• Installing software and upgrading out of date compliances.
• Regularly checking if there are any internet issues.
• Maintaining the schools’ network
• Ensuring that the internet systems are safe for children to use and protect them.

Skills and experience you will need –

• An awareness of health and safety, especially within computer appliances
• The ability to work as both an individual or as a team player
• The ability to explain issues to non-technical users.

This position is Monday – Friday, 8.30 to 3.30 within the Preston area.
