The role
We are currently recruiting a Web Developer to work on both front end and back-end development to improve customer journeys through development of new functionality and enhancing existing functionality.
  
Key Skills and Experience

  • Ruby on Rails Web development experience
  • Some AWS Serverless experience – API Gateway, Lambda, Dynamo, SNS, SQS, AppFlow, Eventbridge
  • Knowledge of Node js or similar
  • Exposure to GitHub, branching strategies, PR reviews and discussion is a plus
  • Understanding of caching and ways to increase performance of an API, including mitigating limitations of SaaS systems underneath
  • Some experience with Ruby, experience with Rails or similar MVC framework (Laravel, Django etc)
  • Solid understanding of the HTTP protocol—headers, return codes, authorisation tokens, cookies, SSL Experience with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL  

Desirable

  • Some knowledge of Salesforce and billing systems like Zuora would be a plus
  • Some experience with component based JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) is a plus
