A leading distribution business is seeking an IT Manager to join the Business Systems team in Birmingham to ensure the smooth and effective running of the company ICT Systems and business processes. This is a permanent role offering hybrid working.

Commutable from: Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Coventry, Sutton Coldfield, Kidderminster, Solihull.

Salary: £ 50,000 - £ 55,000 p.a. + Annual Bonus + Pension + Health Benefits

The Role

The IT Manager will be vital in constructing and implementing an ICT strategy in accordance with the needs and goals of the business. 
This is particularly important in managing the installation, maintenance and administration of company ICT systems such as the scheduling and maintenance of data backups and the developing and maintaining of reporting solutions.
You will manage relationships and service contracts with suppliers of software, hardware and associated services in addition to the procurement of new ones in line with budgets whilst ensuring an appropriate ROI. This will be done through researching and testing new ICT solutions for the benefit of the business.

The IT Manager will proactively support end-users with training, advice and the resolution of technical issues.  Whilst also maintaining the Quality Management System and Chain of Customer Management System.

With it being a managerial role, it will be your responsibility to manage and develop a growing technician team.

The Person

The successful applicant will be degree qualified in It or a related subject and/or certifications such as Microsoft or CISCO. It is expected that you will have around 5 years of experience within an IT Management role.

The IT Manager will be someone who is highly motivated with a strong work ethic, excellent communication and people skills with an interest in business process mapping and continual improvement.

The IT Manager will have worked with SQL and done Crystal reporting writing, experience of ERP Systems (Preferably SAP Business One and Boyum), be familiar with endpoint and email protection technologies and local and cloud backup solutions.
It would be desirable for someone to have experience in Warehouse Management Systems (Produmex) and Filemaker Pro 19.
