IT Manager - The Role:
Morning Foods are recruiting for a newly created position of IT Manager to strengthen the current in-house IT team.
The group operates in a number of different business segments and employs a diverse range of technologies over multiple sites throughout the North West of the UK. This is a varied, wide reaching role which will be responsible for providing both in-house IT support and also helping us to maintain and update our current systems. You will be heading-up and developing the team which takes day-to-day responsibility for processing helpdesk calls, monitoring the backup solutions and supervising the IT function. There will be an element of project management work as the group continues to expand its operations.
This position will report to the Group Head of IT and is, very much, a hands-on role. The suitable candidate will have a good working technical knowledge which will be utilised on a daily basis. Experience with IT applications in a factory environment would also be an advantage.
The ideal candidate would also have strong experience in LAN and WAN environments and a good understanding of VLAN configurations.
IT Manager - Skills and Qualifications:
The following skills and qualifications are important for this role:
- Windows desktop operating systems
- Windows Server 2016, 2019 and 2012 R2
- Hyper-V Virtualization installation, operation and troubleshooting
- MS Exchange 2016, 365 & Remote Desktop Services
- Active Directory and Group Policy Administration
- Networking – Routers/Switches/Firewalls installation, operation and troubleshooting
Connectivity & Network troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of VLAN’s and Layer 3 / Layer 2 Switches
- Industry recognised qualification (MCSA, MCSE, CCNA or equivalent)
Experience of remote monitoring and management software for IT services would also be preferable.
IT Manager - Benefits:
This role offers a competitive rate of pay, commensurate with experience, and an attractive Company Pension scheme, into which the Employer Contributes 7.5%. This is a Permanent, full time role with office hours of 9am – 5pm. There would also be an expectation to be part of the Out of Hours on call rota, which is separately compensated. The package includes 22 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Our Head Office is based in Crewe, Cheshire however we operate multiple sites located throughout the North West of the UK so some travel would be required. It would be expected that you have a full, UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
