Helping us as we connect healthcare, you'll be developing a leading pharmacy software solution, which under the EMIS umbrella makes us a company that's leading the NHS vision of integrated healthcare.
At EMIS, we work with thousands of pharmacies across the UK and Northern Ireland from local independents to large pharmacy groups to provide integrated, excellent and innovative healthcare IT.
This role is based from home but may require some travel to some of our sites.
Your new role
As our developer, you’ll join our supportive team in developing new modules and maintaining existing modules in our updated Pro-Script Connect product. You’ll work under the guidance of the Team lead and Architects and partner with business analysts and QA testers to ensure the new features you’re developing are meeting the requirements of our customers.
You’ll regularly be working with WPF, .Net framework, SQL Server, C# and Visual Studio and it’s important you bring some knowledge of these technologies with you. There will be plenty of opportunity for you to broaden your knowledge as well as we continue to adopt the newest tools and cloud technologies.
The team you’ll join
You'll work as part of our close-knit development team who are geographically spread and all passionate about innovation and what we do. We have 4 team leaders who each support about 4 developers on their specific projects. Your role will involve working with other teams across the business as well so there's plenty of people to share their expertise and business knowledge with you!
What you'll bring
These are the skills and experience you’ll need to set yourself up for success in this role, however we’d still love to talk to you even if you don’t tick all of them:
- a passion for technology
- a track record of working with WPF, .Net and C#
- any experience of working in an agile environment, would be great
- superb communication skills both verbally and written are a must
- able to work well as part of a team or on your own if it’s required
