Tech Agnostic Software Engineer
(Remote currently, but some travel to other South Wales locations will be required in the future for their clients)
Salary range £40,000 - £60,000

Are you an experinced Software Engineer based in South Wales and looking to work for something new?

Do you fancy working for an established business, BUT within a brand new team/office? So it feels like you're working for a startup with the backing of a highly successful business!

I am working with a consultancy, who last year opened their doors to a new office in Cardiff and we have partnered up to help them scale up this new team. You will have the best of both worlds, working for an established business with some awesome benefits - as well as the feel of working in a new team with start-up vibes.

They love to experience with the latest tools, technologies, and techniques. You'll have to chance to work on a range of projects from public to private sector with Cloud technologies (GCP, AWS) and large-scale systems.

As a Software Engineer in their Cardiff team, you'll be encountering and developing full functioning applications based on frameworks such as Java, Scala, .Net, Spring/Spring Boot, JavaScript, React, Python and GoLang. They love full stack devs, so if you like to get involved with a bit of the frontend too you'll enjoy working for them.

They are a consultancy, so there will be some travel to client sites required within the South Wales area. Ideally, they want people who enjoy being in an office, right now everyone is remote but that's not their intention for the future - there will be some flexibility around it but ideally some days in the office will be required of you.

Sound good? Here is what you need to apply:

  • The desire to work with different languages & technologies, not just
  • Keen to get stuck in with new techniques.
  • Experienced and comfortable with Agile ways of working.
  • Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, low-level architecture
  • Strong software design skills, and version control systems

If you like the sound of this, please apply or get in touch with Steph at SR2 for more details.
