Senior PHP Developer (£40k - £45k) – Antrim with remote working
Assistive technology tools are among the least ‘celebrated’ but most crucial tools in education today.
They are crucial because they enable children to use their strengths to work around their challenges.
You might not know it, but there is a local company that is a global leader in writing literacy, accessibility, and dyslexia software for children, employees & students with reading and writing difficulties.
They understand that there is a whole world of avid readers and fluent writers out there waiting for the right support.
They have designed assistive learning solutions to help people of all ages achieve their potential by understanding, reading, writing, and communicating with greater ease and confidence.
And they are growing exponentially. They have just bought a European group that also develops assistive technology for individuals with reading and writing disabilities.
They are now setting up a new development team for the on-going development of multiple internal information systems, as well as helping out with other software projects when required. As the team grows you will have the opportunity to move into a Lead role within the team.
In terms of skills and experience, you’ll be a PHP developer with at least 4 years of commercial experience in PHP and MySQL with a keen interest in web technologies. Some knowledge of git and Linux would be useful too.
This is very much a hands-on coding position, however, some of your time will be spent putting together a strategic roadmap and working directly with stakeholders.
You will work closely with teams across the company to analyse existing business processes, with a view to streamlining & automating where possible. You will need to be a strong communicator to succeed in this position.
